URBAN RAGE - Obstacle Description...U Gonna love this...

Rite, all you Crazy MTB lovin’ Cats, you’d better have your agility skills honed for this one - it’s sure to blow your minds. Here’s what you’ve been anxiously waiting for: The HP Urban Rage MTB Assault Race obstacle descriptions………

With something like 30 obstacles in a little over 2000m there’s one to keep you focused approximately every 65m ! Route Designer extra-ordinaire Ewan Cochran and his team of builders have been hard at work for the past three weeks to bring you mountain biking like you have never seen it before. No words or pictures can fully describe the thrill you are in for come Saturday 12th December. Clip in.

Ready, steady, gate drops.GO.GO.GO!!!!heart rate pumping as you face a 6m drop-off BMX style Start Ramp and immediately into a sharp left hander, bit of calm then onto the Radius Bridge skimming over water,
w h o o o o p into the high speed HP 90o burm (‘skerdy cat / SK aka ‘chicken run’ option available), another180o HP burm and relax.

Next up is the SkinnyBridge (starts at 1.2m and narrows to 25cm) stay focused Crazy Cat (aka Bull Run) you’re onto the another Bridge…then Ramp, 180o burm, Ramp and another 180o burm. Over the Water Bridge, into a 180o burm and some speed is required to haul up the SGB platform, sharp 90o turn on the circle top and whizz down again. Short Water Bridge crossing, whoop-de-whoop over the Water Bridge Pump tracks (BMX style) and up the St-AIR Ladder (this may require a dismount and run for 10m).

Enter Zone 3 via the Beeg JEEP Drop and shortly thereafter the Little JEEP Drop…pass along a derelict building and head back towards the canal. A 180o burm back onto the water leads onto another Water Bridge, off and over the Table Top Bridge….a little respite.

¾ of the way through the course, chest heaving, legs shaking and into juddery Bunny Hop Lane then grrrrrrr over the Traffic Calmer and heave-ho Log Jumps. Whew, what next ? Find some more power to ramp up into the Manline Truck and down again….up the Wall-step-up-Ladder, ride the Wall Ride (don’t worry – it’s 4 bricks wide!) and zap down the Wall Drop-off. Nearly back at the start with just the Stairs Drop-off left. In a blurr of adrenalin and thrill you cross under the Start ramp up to the finish line, exhausted and elated. HP Urban Rage MTB Assault Race conquered.

What’s next ?

So, r u Xcited yet?
